Join us each Monday at 6:00pm for this type of yoga that integrates breath, postures, and mental focus.
What is Ashtanga? The Ashtanga series is structured so that each asana has a specific effect, and is counter-balanced by the asana that follows.
The practice begins with ‘heat creating’ sun salutations, followed by strengthening and hip opening standing poses. Next are the mind calming and internally cleansing floor postures, concluded by the traditional finishing sequence.
Alignment techniques and physical adjustments are offered throughout the breath-based practice to allow students to go deeper within.
