
is offering a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program
This 200 Hour Weekend Immersion Program focuses on the instruction and practice of essential hatha yoga techniques including asana, pranayama and deep relaxation. To build a better understanding of the principles of the Yoga Tradition, the course explores the history and philosophy of yoga, basic anatomy and physiology, and teaching methodology.
Students get to apply their practical skills with the guidance and feedback of an experienced teacher. Students who complete the program requirements of the Transcending Yoga Teacher Training are eligible to register with the national YogaAlliance® registrar as a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200).
About the Program:
This core coursework (60 hours) for this program will be two weekends per month, February 5th through April 17th. Workshops (30 hours), available on alternate weekends and Friday evenings throughout 2011, will be included in the cost of the program. About the Teacher: Valerie Baltzer, E-RYT500 is the owner and director of Transcending Yoga teacher training. She has been teaching yoga, Pilates, and fitness since 2005. She is registered through Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour level. Valerie completed her 500 hour comprehensive training under the guidance of Beverly Burt of Kai Yoga Arts in Albany, GA.
