Why You and Yoga?
There's a good enough
reason for Yoga these days. It works! Yoga is a 4000 year
old system for health, stress-relief, and well-being. 4000
years of health benefits! As you practice yoga, you'll soon
begin to feel a change. Many find stiffness and pain lessen.
Your body becomes more flexible, and toned. A sense of
sell-being and joy grows. You'll feel you are living life to
its fullest. |

Yoga is not about
twisting your body into a pretzel.
The poses are gentle
stretches-suitable for all body types
and sizes, in all stages of health. Yoga is gentle and
non-competitive. Anyone can do it. You start at your own
level, and progress at the pace that is perfect for you and
your body. Yoga is enjoyed by elders and kids alike. Yoga is
calming for children and brings new level of well-being to
adults. Yoga is a gift you give to yourself. Yoga is your
time. You've always done for others.

The Yoga
Nurse® Annette Tersigni R.N.
"Meditation is the Prayer of the Heart, Yoga is the Prayer
of the Body." In our workshop, Prayer of Heart and
Body, Annette will help you integrate
teachings from the Christian
contemplative tradition into your yoga
practice and encourage a new
appreciation for the role of the body in
prayer. "Yoga," is "meditation in
motion, a way to pray with one's whole
being--body, mind and spirit. It was
originally designed to prepare people
for sitting meditation."
